About Nearmint's Vintage Football Cards

Company History

I started nearmintcards.com in 2001 with a few hundred ungraded cards, and the site has grown substantially since. I also sell on eBay, under the id "nearmint." To see lots of comments from happy customers, see my eBay feedback.

Using the Shopping Cart

Please use my shopping cart to place your order. In case you haven't used one, this is how you do it:

  1. When you find a card you would like to purchase, select "Add to Order."
  2. Repeat step #1 to add more cards to your order.
  3. When you are finished adding cards to your order, select "View Shopping Cart" to bring up the shopping cart page.
  4. Enter your name, mailing address, email address, and method of payment, and select "Check Out."

Shipping Charges

I charge the following for shipping via the US Mail. Insurance is included for orders sent to addresses in the U.S. and Canada. (Collectibles Insurance Services, collectinsure.com, provides my shipping insurance.) I will also ship to other countries, but insurance for mailing to other countries is expensive, so by default I do not include it. If you live outside the U.S. and Canada, and if you would like your order insured, please email me.

Amount of PurchaseShipping
$0.01 to $49.99$3.50
$50.00 to $99.99$5.00
$100.00 to $249.99$6.50
$250.00 to $499.99$8.00
$500.00 and upfree!

If you live in Colorado, you must also add 7.62% sales tax.

I will mail your cards promptly, usually within a day of receiving your payment. I guarantee all cards, even professionally graded ones. If, for any reason, you are not happy with your purchase, I will buy the cards back from you, no questions asked.

Grading

I follow PSA's grading standards. If I grade a card NM or NM/MT, I intend for you to be able to send it to PSA and get that grade. I have a nice sunny office, and when I grade a card, I hold it up to the sunlight and say What Would PSA Do? Then I write that grade on a yellow sticky and stick it on the card holder.

If I err, it's usually on the side of caution, and I'll undergrade a card before I overgrade it. This is supposed to be fun, and I want my customers to be tickled, not disappointed. I also want you to come back and buy more cards!
